End of January blues...
The end of January can be tough. We're all feeling the pinch financially, the weather is cold and gloomy, and you may be coming to the realisation that those drastic life changes you made as a new years resolution are getting harder to stick to!
Its ok. You may just need to re-evaluate. Massive changes can be hard to stick to, that's why I recommend small, simple changes. Lets take your diet as an example. They can be really hard to follow, especially if they are "restrictive", even more so if its a big change.
Try to break it down and make sure you chose an eating plan that is both realistic, and sustainable long term.
Its ultimately about calories in vs calories out, and aiming to make those calories as colourful as possible by "eating a rainbow" (and no; skittles don't count!) An easy way to do this is by keeping a food diary for a couple of days, then looking at the colours. Is it very beige? If so, you can make some simple adjustments that could have a big impact.
Whatever you're working towards, don't give up. Quitting is easy, but it won't get you where you want to be. You have not failed. You will only fail if you give up.
A bump in the road is ok, and there will be many. Just keep moving forwards. If it all gets too much, that's ok too. Just re-evaluate, break it down into smaller goals, one simple change at a time.
